It’s because of something known as the lapse rate. We all know that warm air rises. When warm, moist air rises up into the atmosphere, it begins to cool down. Once the air parcel reaches the height where the temperature is equal to the dew point, the water vapor will begin to condense. That’s where the fluffy top comes from.

The cloud’s bottom appears flat because the dew point is all at a relatively similar height across the cloud’s area. The minute changes in dew point is too small for us to see with out naked eyes.

In moister, warmer areas, this will occur in a lower level compared to a drier environment.


This mainly occurs in larger clouds

Mirrors were made with silver way back in the day. Since silver was seen as a "pure" and “holy” metal, an undead creature such as a vampire would not be reflected in the metal. This is where the “vampires don’t have reflections" trait came from.

btw this is also why silver bullets are supposed to kill werewolves.

The first cameras used a cocktail of chemicals to create the image. And those chemicals would often include silver nitrate.

Most modern day mirrors have aluminum behind the glass, not silver. Aluminum doesn’t have a history of being associated with a “pure” metal, so a vampire’s reflection would show up with no problems. And since most modern cameras digital, they would show up in photos and videos too.


BONUS: Yes, it’s true that some modern cameras have gold or silver inside them. However, that's beside the point. The question is “whether or not a vampire could be in a picture”, not “whether or not a vampire could be seen on a camera”.

It's the components of the pictures that matter, not the components of the camera.

Most modern day cameras take digital pictures, which contain no amounts of gold or silver metal.

Growing up, my parents would always try to get me to eat more carrots. Bad ocular genes run in my family and my parents, like so many other people, believed that eating carrots was a magic bullet to improved eyesight.

Unfortunately, that’s just a common misconception. A misconception that dates back to World War II British propaganda.

The main reason we don’t have any ice more than 2 million years old is because there was probably no (or very little) ice on Earth 2.5 million years ago and the planet was a bit warmer than today.


Our last ice age was 12,000 years ago and our best analysis shows that the next one won't be concurring for another 100,000 when its supposed to be arriving in 50,000 years.
So why the 50,000 year delay? Man made climate change. CO2 stays in the atmosphere for 200 years, but we've thrown up so much CO2 from fossil fuels that it's permanently messed up the global cycle.
Global warming has warmed the planet up so much that the natural cooling has been completely nullified.
